Mental Health First Aid

March 30, 2019

 

The Yew Life Center and NAMI Oregon are sponsoring a class on Mental Health First Aid. It provides practical and helpful training on how to identify, recognize and respond to someone who is experiencing a mental illness or crisis. It focuses on the mental illness issues of adults.

 The class will be held Saturday March 30, 2019 from 8:00 am to 4:30 pm here at St. Gabriel. There is no charge for the class. Coffee/tea, snacks and lunch will be provided.

First Fruits Community Garden

The mission of the Community Garden is to join interested gardeners in raising fresh produce, using sustainable means, and share its bounty with those in need.
 
If you are interested in gardening for yourself, friends and family while supporting the Oregon Food Bank come join the community of First Fruits gardeners. Each spring a limited number of plots become available and you may apply for one by contacting Rod MacDow at portlandr@gmail.com or 503-601-9042.
