St. Gabriel is a church in motion which seeks to bring God ever closer to those in spiritual need. Expect to see more opportunities soon for education and outreach at St. Gabriel in pursuit of social justice.

In striving to live out our Baptismal Covenant we are called to respect the dignity of every human being. As the people of God in the Episcopal Diocese of Oregon we are committed to the safety of all God’s people. To that end, The Episcopal Church requires Safe Church Training to help people who work and volunteer at church to recognize, report, and, perhaps most importantly, prevent abuse and neglect of our children and youth. To register for online Safe Church Training please click here. All our clergy, church school teachers, nursery caregivers, youth leaders, and Art Camp teachers, as well as adult volunteers, have gone through Safe Church Training and are required to follow those guidelines.

This is an emerging ministry. Check back soon for more details.

Book of Common Prayer Online

If you don’t own a Book of Common Prayer or BCP, never fear- it is available for free online. The Book of Common Prayer is used by Episcopal and Anglican churches for worship and reference. It includes order of various services, prayers, blessings, and thanksgivings for various occasions and times of day, in beautiful language both traditional and contemporary.

Lectionary Page Online

The Lectionary Page lists the readings for each Sunday and Holy Day of the church year, as well as the saint feast days.

Forward Day By Day

Day by Day is a booklet of daily inspirational meditations reflecting on a specific Bible passage, chosen from the daily lectionary readings as listed in the Revised Common Lectionary or the Daily Office from the Episcopal Church’s Book of Common Prayer. The meditations are rich in substance and offer a wide range of witness and experiences. Each month’s meditation is written by a different author.
